Setup walkthrough
1. Install and activate
Upload the plugin via WordPress admin, activate, open Settings → eDarpan Protection.
2. Choose protection level
- Light: Right-click block only. Lowest false-positive risk.
- Standard (recommended): Right-click + view source + image hot-link.
- Aggressive: All of the above + scraper-targeted defenses. Test your site afterward to make sure nothing essential broke.
3. Whitelist roles
Logged-in admins and editors should have full copy-paste access — they need it. Whitelist them in the plugin settings before going live.
4. Configure image hot-link defense
Add your own domains to the whitelist. Add any partner sites that legitimately embed your images. Everything else gets the placeholder.
5. Test the user experience
Open your site in an incognito window. Try right-click, drag, view-source. Verify the protection works and the page still feels normal for honest users.
